ALL DONE!!

Well, we finally completed the last component of the home study!! The CPR class!! I scanned and emailed the certificates to our social worker last night. She emailed today say they would work! - we won't get our actual cards for 2 weeks.

We told Bailey the other night about the baby we weren't chosen for. I really didn't want to but Patrick thought we should. She was pretty sad and upset. But he explained to her that God didn't want us to have this particular baby and that there was one out there that would be even more perfect for us! We just have to continue to have faith!

Bummed

We found out last Friday morning that there was a birthmother looking for a couple. Because we had marked no on our application for something, the Iowa Agency did not call us. When I called then Friday afternoon, I was a few hours too late....they had already set up a conference call with another couple. We corrected the information in our application. The social worker said that if for some reason something happened and the conference call did not go well, she would call us.

Well, I called them yesterday after school.....the conference call was successful - a match had been made. A little frustrating and am bummed, but this one was not meant to be ours! It will happen!!! We just havae to have faith!

License is here!!

Wow!!! When I got home today, Patrick had already gotten the mail. Of course, he had not looked at it! Our Foster License was in the mail!!! That means it is almost nothing but a waiting game. We still have to do the infant/child CPR (scheduled for next week - finally!!) I am hoping that because we have our license, that means our fingerprints are back.

We have to actually hang the license inside the cabinet on the door but at least we have it and it is in the cabinet!

I have told Patrick, I would wait for 2 years - I am hoping that is not even close to the amount of time we have to wait.
